Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) announced today that it will be the official sponsor of the Ras Al Khaimah Holy Quran Award, reflecting the bank’s ongoing commitment to support young memorisers of the Holy Quran from various parts of the world. This will be the tenth consecutive year that DIB has supported the event, one of the highlights of the Quranic studies calendar.
The Ras Al Khaimah Holy Quran Award aims to honor outstanding Holy Quran memorisers, Islamic personalities and academic and Islamic Da’wah institutions. The event is endorsed by His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, as well as eminent scholars from across the region.
Salah Al Hashimi, Head of Corporate Communications at Dubai Islamic Bank, said: “DIB has been a proud supporter of the Ras Al Khaimah Holy Quran Award for a decade. We share their objective in motivating young Muslims to abide by the teachings of Islam and to recognise their duties towards their faith and Islamic mission. Serving Islam and Muslim communities has been at the core of Dubai Islamic Bank since its inauguration in 1975, and this tradition continues unabated today.”
Through its philanthropic arm, the DIB Foundation, the bank has made a significant contribution to a broad range of charitable initiatives and organisations. DIB is also one of the main sponsors of the Dubai International Holy Quran award, which is endorsed by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The Ras Al Khaimah Holy Quran Award is organised by the Ras Al Khaimah Foundation for Holy Quran.
