Al Rajhi Bank got the “EuroMoney” prize for being the best bank in Saudi Arabia in 2010. The Bank was rewarded during the annual ceremony of EuroMoney Magazine that was held in Beirut on last Wednesday. Mr. Mohamed Al Yami, head of Public Relations of Al Rajhi Bank, received the award on behalf of the Bank.

The jury mentioned in its report the reasons behind Al Rajhi Bank’s triumph. Describing it as the largest Islamic bank in the world, the jury said it deserved to be qualified as the best bank thanks to its financial results in terms of profit.

Al Rajhi Bank continued to top the Saudi banks and achieved distinguished results despite the unstable worldwide financial environment. In fact, its financial results reflected sustainability and equilibrium in most of the growth rates, especially in assets’revenue and shareholders’ equity.

The jury also appreciated the Bank’s strategic planning, its local and international expansion implementation and the success of all its policies that enabled it to reach this advanced level.

Being one of the important prizes in the banking services field, the “EuroMoney” prize represents one of the main rewards for banks that offer retail and corporate banking services. This reward is usually offered to establishments and individuals that show a high level of distinction, leadership and innovation in banking and financial services’ markets.

Al Rajhi Bank maintained its lucrative achievements and continued to increasingly grow, which proves that it enjoys a stable performance, a solid financial status founded on Capital sufficiency, correct regulatory rates and balanced investment policies. All these components reduced risks and enabled the Bank to preserve its credit rank given by the best international rating organizations.
